One of These Things is Much Like the Ohter

This might be one of those things that exist only in my own mind,

But, when I saw this:

I immediately thought of this:

The upper image is the Nanjing Automobile Museum designed by 3Gatti Architecture Studio; the lower is Wright’s sketch for a proposed development on Sugarloaf Mountain, Maryland. Both buildings have a spiral ramp as their central feature, meant to be experienced in a car.

Admittedly, beyond that, they don’t have many similarities, but remember your Old Testament: “There is nothing new under the Sun” (Ecclesiastes).
